Lahore: Lahore High Court (LHC) on Monday approved protective bail of Bushra Bibi, wife of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan, in the Al-Qadir trust case till May 23.
A divisional bench of the LHC headed by Justice Syed Shahbaz Ali Rizvi heard the bail petition. The wife of former premier Bushra Bibi appeared before the court along with Imran Khan.
In her bail petition, she adopted the view that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) without any legal reason sent call up notice adding that the NAB ongoing probe is illegal.
She insisted the court she wanted to appear before the Islamabad High Court (IHC) hence her protective bail be approved.
The court granted her protective bill till May 23. While Bushra Bibi appeared before the court late, the court remarked that everyone should follow the decorum of the court.
Objection Removed of a petition against Imran Khan arrest
On the other hand, Justice Safdar Saleem Shahid removed objection on a petition seeking provision of details regarding lodged against Imran Khan lodged after incidents of May 9 and against the arrest of Imran Khan.
The Judge fixed the case for hearing on May 16.
