LAHORE: The Lahore high court on Friday sought a reply from the Strategic Planning Division (SPD) government of Pakistan over Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan’s plea of free movement.
As the hearing went underway, Advocate Dr Khalid Ranjha obtained stance that DR AQ Khan has filed a petition to allow him as a free citizen of Pakistan and enjoying free movement to any place that he wishes to move.
“The court should order to remove security barriers and officials outside the home of AQ Khan and restore the security which was provided earlier to him as the founder of Khan Research Laboratories (KRL),” said Advocate Ranjha.
On which, LHC chief justice ordered to remove security barriers outside the home of AQ Khan.
“Provide AQ Khan the security as KRL founder and remove barriers outside his home immediately,” he maintained.
The court then sought a reply from the Strategic Planning Division (SPD) government of Pakistan.
