Karachi: Commenting on budget presented by the government, Former premier Shahid Khaqan Abbassi said that the country’s economy lowered than the level of 2018 adding that the budget base on lie.
Holding a press conference in Karachi, stalwart of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Shahid Khaqan Abbassi said that Finance Minister Shaukat Tareen did same speech what he had done as the holder of the same post in the PPP regime.
Shahid Khaqan Abbassi said that a lie is base of the budget adding that what will be the earning of the government on the ohter hand they are talking of additonal earning of 1100 bln rupees where it will come from.
He said that the facts are not better than the 2018 adding that the existing government has imposed taxes of Rs 1200 bln and 383 taxes are new while he claimed that due to the government taxes the prices of sugar will increase again.
Talking at the occasion, Miftah Ismail said that tax has been imposed on dairy items and crude oil adding that electricity will become expensive with rise in prices of fuel.
Miftah said that if government decreased taxes of the salaried class then the masses could get relief.
