Officials Confirm Four Terrorists Were Killed In Dasht Operation

Quetta(June 20, 2018): Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police Abdul Razzak Cheema and Commandant FC Colonel Rab Nawaz while addressing a press conference on Wednesday confirmed the operation had taken place in Dasht.

The deceased persons were involved in different terrorist activities including the targetted killing of Levies personnel, DIG Cheema told the media.

“Our war is against terrorists and the frequency of this war has increased after May 15,” DIG Cheema said. He further added that it is the responsibility of law enforcement agencies to continue the war against terrorism.

The senior police officer said terrorists were operating by changing their identities, reiterating that they will be eliminated.DIG Cheema confirmed that six law enforcement personnel and a labourer were injured in the incident. He also informed the media that a child had died in the exchange of fire.

Earlier, the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) claimed killing Four terrorists in a three-hour-long operation in Dashta area of Balochistan.

According to the CTD spokesperson, a woman is among the deceased terrorists while four security officials were injured in the operation.

It was stated that the CTD was transporting an under-custody terrorist to assist in an operation when the shootout took place.

Rescue officials said a five-year-old boy was also brought dead to the hospital and was said to have been killed as a result of the operation.However, the minor’s killing could not be confirmed by CTD officials.

Two Shot Dead In Quetta:

Two Killed, one injured in firing over a police van on Wednesday in Quetta.

According to the details, firing incident took place in Nawan Kili area, where unidentified men opened indiscriminate fire over a police van, which resulted in the death of father and son of the sub-inspector, Abdul Samad, whereas he sustained injuries.

The bodies and injured were rushed to the CMH Quetta, while the LEAs have cordoned off the area and started the search operation.
