Shah Farman Takes Oath As Governor KP

Peshawar (September 05, 2018): PTI’s Shah Farman took oath as Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhuwa today.

Chief Justice of the Peshawar High Court Justice Waqar Ahmad Seth administered the oath to the new KP governor.

KP chief minister’s Mahmood Khan and Corps Commander Peshawar Lt General Nazir Ahmed Butt  attended the oath-taking ceremony.

The oath-taking ceremony of the governors was earlier postponed due to the presidential election taking place in the country.

Earlier on August 27, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Imran Ismail took oath as Governor of Sindh.

According to the details, Imran Ismail took oath as 33rd Sindh Governor. Chief Justice Sindh High Court administered the oath at Governor House Karachi.

The ceremony was attended by Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah, PTI nominated candidate for President Arif Alvi, Deputy Speaker National Assembly Qasim Suri, members of provincial cabinet and provincial and federal assemblies and other notables.

Imran Ismail is the 33th Governor of the province since 1947. He was born on 1st January 1966 in Karachi and is a businessman-turned-politician.

Earlier on August 26, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) retracted from nominating Dr Ameer Muhammad Khan Jogezai as Balochistan Governor after revelations regarding National Accountability Bureau (NAB) reference against him surfaced.

According to details, the PTI spokesman said that Jogezai’s name was just suggested by Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan, however, no final decision has been taken in this regard.PTI’s Nominated Governor Balochistan On NAB RadarEarlier on August 25, the Nominated Governor of Balochistan Dr Ameer Muhammad Jugezai appeared an accused of corruption charges in National Accountability Bureau (NAB).

According to details he was under investigation of embezzlement of Rs 61 million in the purchase of machinery and tolls when he was working as Chief Executive Officer of Kidney Center in Quetta.

Sources said NAB likely to file a reference against him on the charges of corruption.
