ISLAMABAD: Former prime minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on Friday once again rejected all allegations levelled against him in the Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) scandal.

Former prime also slammed Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) government for putting his name on Exit Control List (ECL).

“My name was placed on ECL despite knowing that I am not going anywhere,” he added. He further said that except Mir Zafarullah Jamali all former prime ministers have been on ECL.

Answering to a question of making deal with the current government the PML-N leader said whosoever will ask for NRO from PM Imran will not be his companion.

Earlier in a day, Interior Ministry placed names of seven individuals including Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leaders Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Miftah Ismail on Exit Control List (ECL).

Interior Ministry placed the seven names on ECL upon National Accountability Bureau’s (NAB) recommendation.

The other individuals whose names were placed on ECL include Mubeen Saulat Mirza, Shahid Islamuddin, Imran ul Haq, Uzma Adil Khan and Amir Naseem.

It is to be noted that the Anti-graft body is investigating Khaqan Abbasi and Miftah Ismail in LNG Terminal case.
