ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Energy Hamad Azhar has claimed that load shedding has ended across the country and said that 1500 MW has been added to the power system and more will be added to the power system today.

According to details, Federal Minister for Energy Hamad Azhar, while sharing a chart on electricity distribution companies on social networking site Twitter, said in his statement that unannounced load shedding has ended in the last 12 hours, 1500 MW in 48 hours. The power has been added to the system, today more power will be added to the system, load shedding is only in areas of power theft, non-payment, the process of resolving technical problems at the local level is also underway.
The power crisis in the country had intensified after the power generation was cut off due to siltation in Tarbela Dam yesterday.
According to sources, the total shortfall has exceeded 6,000 MW, after which unannounced load shedding has increased across Punjab, including Lahore. It will take 2 days to produce from Tarbela.
