ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Human Rights Shireen Mazari has written a letter to the human rights commission of the United Nations regarding loc violations and use of cluster bombs by India.
According to the spokesman of the Human Rights Ministry, the letter written to the UN organization stated that India on the intervening night of 30 and 31 July violated the loc and bombarded cluster bombs on a civilian population which claimed four lives including a 4-year old child and injured 11 others.
The use of the cluster bombs by India is a blatant violation of international agreements and it has committed the human rights violations, again and again, the letter reads.
The minister in her letter to the human rights commission told such actions of India tantamount to tearing apart the human rights while the use of the cluster bombs after using pallet guns in 2018 is reflective of India’s aggressive attitude.
It was requested in the letter to the human rights organization to take action against India on these violations while urging the UN to take notice of India on sending additional forces on a wide scale in occupied Kashmir.
