Islamabad: Islamabad local court on Monday (today) handed over Lt gen (retd) Amjad Shoaib to police on a three-day physical remand in a case of inciting the institutions to revolt.
The police presented the ex-army officer to the court of Judicial Magistrate Abbass Shah. Investigation Officer (IO) and prosecutor Adnan insisted the court to give 7-day physical remand of Amjad Shoaib.
A counsel of Amjad Shoaib, Muddasir Khalid Abbassi opposing the physical remand insisted the court to discharge his client Amjad Shoaib.
The court reserved the verdict after hearing both sides of arguments.
Later pronouncing the verdict the court handed over Lt gen (retd) Amjad Shoaib to police on a three day physical remand.
