Islamabad: Former Corps Commander Karachi, Lt general (retd) Sajjad Ghani has been appointed as a new Chairman of Water and Power Division Authority (WAPDA).
Lt gen (retd) Sajjad Ghani will replace Lt gen (retd) Muzzamil Hussain.
For the appointment of new Chairman WAPDA a summary of names had forwarded to the federal cabinet and the approval was taken from the federal cabinet through circulation.
Lt gen (retd) Sajjad Ghani name was top on the list while Shams Uddin Sheikh and Lt gen (retd) Muhammad Afzal names were also included in the list.
The appointment of Chairman WAPDA has been taken for a five years tenure. Lt gen (retd) Sajjad Ghani is 23rd Chairman of WAPDA.
Lt gen (retd) Sajjad Ghani has taken the charge of the Chairman WAPDA.
