KARACHI: The law enforcement agencies have decided to raze the offices of banned Lyari Amman Committee after the ongoing operation against MQM offices illegally build on parks, grounds and amenity spaces.
Sources said that the LEAs’ officials have surveyed the areas of Lyari, Yousuf Goth, Malir and Old Golimar and gathered information about the offices of Amman Committee located there. As the survey has been completed, in the next phase these offices will be razed and the illegal occupants will be evicted.
On the other hand, SSP City Faizullah Korejo said that several offices of Amman Committee and gang war groups had already been razed during the ongoing operation whole many offices had turned into junks’ depots.
He said that the area police had not yet received any formal instructions for bulldozing the offices of Amman Committee and different Lyari gang was groups.
It is to be mentioned here that the Karachi administration had already razed dozens of MQM offices set-up on parks, playgrounds, amenity spaces and on encroached lands. The crackdown against MQM offices was triggered after the inflammatory speech and anti-Pakistan slogans raised by founder of MQM- Altaf Hussain on 22nd August.
