LAHORE: A major breakthrough has been made in the ongoing investigation into Lahore Chairing Cross suicide attack.
Interior Ministry sources revealed that few arrests had been made which helped in determining the real actors behind the suicide attack.
The detailed report of the progress made so far was presented to Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
They said that the breakthrough was made last night, as the arrests led the investigators to determine the perpetrators of the attack.
It is to be mentioned here that at least 13 people were killed and 85 injured when a suicide bomber struck last Monday a protest of pharmacists outside the Punjab Assembly.
The Jamat-ul-Ahrar group of banned TTP had claimed responsibility for the attack. SSP Operations Zahid Gondal of Punjab Police and DIG Traffic Lahore Capt (retd) Ahmad Mobin were among those killed in the attack.
