ABU DHABI: A significant defense agreement has been signed between the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the United States.
UAE Minister of State for Defense Affairs, Mohammed Al Mazrouei, and U.S. Secretary of Defense, Pete Hegseth, signed the agreement.According to a statement issued by the UAE Ministry of Defense, a roadmap has been developed to enhance military cooperation between the UAE and the U.S.
Under the agreement, the UAE has been recognized as a major defense partner of the United States.The UAE-U.S. partnership program includes air and missile defense, as well as cooperation in cybersecurity, disaster response, and operational planning.According to the statement, the purpose of the agreement is to improve military preparedness, enhance the capability for joint operations, and deepen innovation-based cooperation.
