According to sources, British has agreed in principles to extradite three main accused- MQM founder, Muhammad Anwar and Iftikhar Hussain- to Pakistan, however, UK government sought written assurance from Pakistan authorities that they will not award them a death sentence.

“The government has initiated a consultation over the UK offer, however, there is no room of such assurance in the presence of death sentence law,” sources said.
