RAWALPINDI: Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir said that the martyrs and veterans are our pride, and the respect for martyrs is sacred for every Pakistani.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) of the Pakistan Army, a ceremony was held at GHQ Rawalpindi to award military honors. Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir presented awards to officers and soldiers of the Pakistan Army.
As per ISPR, these honors were conferred in recognition of extraordinary bravery during operations and services rendered to the nation. A large number of senior military officials and the families of the award recipients attended the ceremony.
The spokesperson for the Pakistan Army reported that the awards included the Sitara-e-Imtiaz (Military) and Tamgha-e-Basalat, with families of martyrs receiving posthumous awards.
On this occasion, the Army Chief praised the services of the Pakistan Army and law enforcement agencies in the fight against terrorism, stating that martyrs and veterans are our pride, and honoring martyrs is a priority for every Pakistani.
Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir further stated that today’s peace and freedom are the results of the martyrs’ everlasting sacrifices, and the selfless commitment of the Pakistan Army and law enforcement agencies is commendable.
