WEB DESK: Kumail Nanjiani, known for his role in the Marvel movie “Eternals,” recently addressed bizarre rumors linking him romantically to former First Lady Michelle Obama, as reported by the Independent.
Appearing on the “So True” podcast, Nanjiani shared how the rumor had reached his wife, Emily. He recounted how a mutual friend approached Emily, claiming to have heard that Nanjiani and Michelle Obama were “doing it.” According to the actor, the allegations were so unexpected that Emily was not even upset. He admitted multiple people mentioned the absurd claim to him.
Setting the record straight during the podcast, Nanjiani firmly stated he has never had any connection with Michelle Obama, let alone met her. The actor emphasized that the gossip was entirely unfounded.
Podcast host Caleb Hearon also brought up another wild rumor during their conversation—that former President Barack Obama had allegedly been involved with actress Jennifer Aniston. Hearon noted that despite the persistence of this speculation, he wasn’t sure what to make of it. When Nanjiani pressed him for his thoughts, Hearon humorously remarked that Nanjiani joining the ranks of Aniston in affair rumors was noteworthy.
Responding playfully, Nanjiani joked about the supposed matchups for both Obamas, suggesting they were “slumming it.” He added a lighthearted disclaimer to avoid offending Aniston, saying no disrespect was intended.
Aniston herself had previously denied any connection to Barack Obama during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel’s late-night show. She dismissed the rumors as baseless but expressed no anger over them.
Meanwhile, Michelle Obama has also publicly shut down allegations of her husband’s infidelity, affirming that such stories are entirely false and that she never considered leaving him.
