LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has called for the speedy operationalization of Air Punjab. Leading a high-level meeting to assess progress on the provincial airline initiative, the chief minister stressed the importance of accelerating efforts to complete the first phase of the project.
She instructed officials to prioritize the leasing of modern and comfortable aircraft to ensure high-quality service and a seamless passenger experience. During the meeting, CM Maryam was briefed on the latest developments and ongoing preparations for the airline’s much-anticipated launch.
In a significant move, the meeting approved the initial flight route, connecting Lahore and Islamabad, marking a key milestone for Air Punjab’s journey to becoming fully operational.
The session also reviewed progress on the Murree Glass Train project. Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif directed officials to take all necessary measures to advance this initiative.
