LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz on Friday launched a tree plantation campaign by plating a sapling in Lahore.
Maryam Nawaz appealed to the people to take full part in the tree planting campaign 2024, the citizens should participate fully in the ‘Plant trees for Pakistan’ campaign to make Punjab green and green.
Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz said that the earth is also a mother who provides life, food and livelihood. Plant a tree so that people can breathe, the air is free from poison. May the beautiful land of Punjab become more beautiful and lush.
Apart from this, Senior Provincial Minister Maryam Aurangzeb expressed determination to plant 108 million saplings at 60 thousand places in Punjab under the campaign and said that 1.8 saplings were planted today. A large number of provincial ministers and students participated in the campaign. Meanwhile, in Changamanga, 13 thousand students made a record of planting more than 100,000 saplings in one minute.
