Islamabad: A matter of relief on inflated bills lengthened as a plan sent by the ministry of finance to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) was rejected owing to difference in an amount set for implementation.
The IMF has called a new plan due to which the matter of relief will be delayed further.
As per ministry of finance source said that Pakistan has described in its plan that after giving relief to masses for inflated electricity it will create impact of less than Rupees six billion.
On the other hand the IMF said that the relief will impact more than Rs 15 billion. The source said that parity in an amount set for implementation on the relief program resulted into rejection of the plan by the IMF.
According to the sources, the IMF has now asked Pakistan for the details of a new plan to meet the financial capacity of 15 billion and Pakistan will again send the plan to the IMF.
Sources further said that the IMF and the Ministry of finance will negotiate again after Pakistan shares its new plan to the international lender.
Pakistan had sent its first plan on Friday to the IMF to which the international lender responded after four days.
