Maxwell on Standby For ODI after Finch’s Injury

Web-Desk (January 25, 2018): Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell has been recalled to Australian squad to replace Aaron Finch, who will not be playing in the fourth one-day international against England in Adelaide due to hamstring injury.

A hamstring injury to Aussie opener Aaron Finch could pave the way for his teammate Maxwell to surge back to where many believe he belongs.

Maxwell, who is one of the hard hitting batsman in the World, can play key role in 4th ODI. He was not included in the squad that was announced earlier this month.

Star all rounder played his last one-day international against India last September.

Finch will be assessed ahead of the fifth ODI in Perth on Sunday. England have an unassailable 3-0 lead in the series.

It is still unclear whether Maxwell will play in Friday’s clash against England in Adelaide, but he’s expected to also be retained in the squad for Sunday’s final game in Perth.
