May 25 will be observed as “Martyrs’ Reverence Day” to honor the Pakistani martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the sake of the country.
The purpose of celebrating this day is to commemorate the eternal sacrifices of the martyrs and also to give a message to the nation that respect for the martyrs, their families, and their monuments is the pride of every Pakistani.
On this day, Quran kawani and prayers will be organized for the martyrs across the country, while a salute will be given at the martyrs’ memorial of the Pakistan Army, police, and other law enforcement agencies.
Apart from this, events will be held at GHQ, Air and Naval Headquarters, and many other martyrs’ memorials, while celebrations will also be held at martyrs’ memorials in the provincial capital, Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.
On Monday, the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) honored Shaheed Squadron Leader Sarfraz Ahmed Rafiqui, a war hero from 1965, for the unparalleled bravery and fortitude he showed in the face of the enemy.
