May, Opposition Labour Party suspend Election Campaign

London (May 23, 2017): British Primister Theresa May and opposition Labour Party have announced to suspend election campaign in the wake of deadly Manchester blast that killed 19 and injured 50 others during a concert of American singer Adriana Grande.

British Prime Minister Theresa May will suspend her campaign for re-election. May called the incident at Manchester Arena an “appalling terrorist attack.” Conservative Party members confirmed May suspending the re-election campaign little more than two weeks ahead of the June 8 election.

Meanwhile, leader of the opposition Labour Party Jeremy Corbyn said in a statement that he had spoken to Prime Minister Theresa May and had agreed that all national campaigning for the June 8 election would be suspended.
