KARACHI: Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon says development in the province can contribute to a stronger national economy, as the government pursues investment, employment and better public services.
In a statement issued Wednesday, Memon said the provincial administration was setting up industrial zones and seeking overseas investment to create jobs. He said residents wanted practical responses to inflation, unemployment and gaps in basic services.
Memon called on political parties to prioritise public relief and workable solutions over political rhetoric, urging them to take the country’s challenges seriously.
He also paid tribute to former prime minister Benazir Bhutto, saying she had devoted her life to democracy, citizens’ rights and a strong federation. Memon said the PPP remained committed to those principles.
He added that the provincial government was pursuing development projects, transport improvements and essential services, with the aim of ensuring ordinary people benefit.
