Currently, 1024 people can be added to a WhatsApp group, but only 6 people can be added to an anonymous group. Such groups will be given a name by the company after the names of the people in the group. The name of the group will appear differently to each person, depending on whether other members’ names are saved on their phone. If not saved, your phone number will appear as a group name
