KARACHI: During the Pakistan Broadcasters Association’s (PBA) annual general meeting in Karachi, Mian Amer Mahmood, Chairman of Dunya Media Group, was unanimously re-elected as PBA Chairman for the 2025-26 term.
In addition to his re-election, several prominent office bearers were appointed. Salman Iqbal of ARY TV was chosen as Senior Vice Chairman, while Mir Ibrahim Rahman of Geo TV was elected Vice Chairman. Shakeel Masud Hussain from Dawn News will serve as General Secretary, with Ahmad Zuberi of Aaj TV as Joint Secretary, and M. Athar Qazi of KTN as Finance Secretary.
The gathering saw robust participation from members representing both television and radio sectors. Furthermore, three new directors from the Elected Member Category were selected to join the PBA Board: Chaudhry Abdul Rehman (Neo TV), Ghulam Nabi Morai (Mehran TV), and Verda Naqvi (City 42).
