Islamabad: Civilian bench of Supreme Court rejected the plea to transfer the detainees to ordinary jails in the case of trial of civilians in military courts.
Seven members bench of Supreme Court heard the case of civilian trail in the military courts, in which PTI’s Lawyer Latif Khosa and Additional Attorney appeared in the court.
During the hearing, lawyer Latif Khosa said that the detained persons can be visited at least in the jails, on this Justice Amin Uddin said that the Attorney General has given assurances regarding the visits.
The court rejected Latif Khosa’s plea to transfer the detainees to regular jails.
During the hearing, Additional Attorney General told the court that defense ministry lawyer Khawaja Haris is unwell, Khawaja Haris has stomach problem due to which he cannot appear in the court, so the hearing should be postponed.
The court accepted the request of the Additional Attorney General to adjourn the hearing and adjourned the further hearing of the case till Thursday.
