Web Desk : Millions of Muslims around the world are observing Eid al-Adha today, with solemnity and spiritual enthusiasm marking the day across the Middle East, Asia, Europe, and parts of North America.

In Saudi Arabia, large-scale Eid congregations were held at the Grand Mosque in Makkah and the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah.

The sacred sites welcomed worshippers from across the globe, including a significant number of pilgrims from Pakistan and other Muslim-majority nations, who joined in heartfelt prayers.

In Occupied Jerusalem, thousands of Palestinians gathered at the revered Al-Aqsa Mosque to offer Eid prayers under tight security, reflecting both devotion and resilience.

Major cities across the United Arab Emirates, including Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Sharjah, witnessed peaceful and well-attended Eid prayer gatherings early in the morning.

Similar spiritual scenes unfolded in Oman, Egypt, Jordan, Iran, and Iraq, where citizens marked the holy festival with unity and tradition.

Elsewhere in the Muslim world, countries such as Turkey, Syria, Qatar, and Kuwait also celebrated Eid today, with families coming together for prayers, sacrifice, and communal meals.

Across Southeast Asia, the occasion was observed with traditional zeal in Indonesia and Brunei, where mosques overflowed with worshippers participating in the morning services and subsequent rituals.

Muslim communities in Australia, the United Kingdom, Greece, several European nations, as well as cities across the United States and Canada, also held Eid al-Adha prayers. In many of these locations, mosques and open grounds accommodated diverse congregations from various ethnic and cultural backgrounds.

As one of the most significant dates on the Islamic calendar, Eid al-Adha commemorates the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) to sacrifice in obedience to God’s command—a story that continues to inspire faith and generosity among Muslims worldwide.
