ISLAMABAD: The government has generated revenue with an increase of 51 per cent under the communication sector, according to a report of performance and expenditures of the last 11 months.
The report said the revenue has risen to Rs43.32 billion.
Until now, Minister for Communications Murad Saeed has recovered Rs7 billion and deposited the amount to the national exchequer. He did not get any TA and DA during the same period and even he did not withdraw any expense in the head of vehicles
The report said that Rs 2.50 billion rupees were also recovered under the anti-encroachment campaign launched by the government.
A new system containing facilities such as e-billing, e-tendering, and mobile app has been introduced to enhance transparency.
The report said different projects of national highways would be completed within three to six months.
