Misbah, Younis play farewell innings at Windsor Park

ROSEAU (May 14, 2017): Pakistan’s two ageing stalwarts Misbah-ul-Haq and Younis Khan played their last innings of international career today at Windsor Park, Roseau.

The most successful captain of Pakistan Misbah-ul-Haq could score only two runs in the last match of his career. His overall score in 75 Test matches is 5281 runs.

Misbah-ul-Haq miss hit one from Bishu’s leg-spinner and get caught by West Indian keeper, Dowrich to end his careers last innings on just two runs.

He gets and a standing ovation from teammates, from the crowd, a hug from his life-long partner on the crease Younis Khan and handshakes from West Indies players. Pakistan team puts together a guard of honour for their retiring captain with their bats raised.

Misbah-ul-Haq led Pakistani squad in 56 Test matches. Under his captaincy, Pakistan won 25 Test matches, lost 19 and 11 ended in draw.

Misbah-ul-Haq scored his first century against India in New Delhi.
