Rawalpindi: Misleading facts and figures have been shared on social media platforms regarding assets of Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa and his family, ISPR said.
The media-wing of Pakistan Army Inter-Service Public Relations has said in its statement regarding nefarious campaign against Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa, these misleading facts and figures are exaggerated based on assumptions.
As per the ISPR, a particular group with its cleverly and dishonestly attributed assets of father of daughter in law of the COAS and his family to the COAS and his family and totally wrong impression is being given that father in law of COAS’s son has made these assets in the six years of tenure of the army chief.
The statement said that this totally against the truth and open lie and based on dishonesty.
The COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa, his wife and every asset of his family declared in the Federal Bureau of Revenue and the COAS regularly files his tax returns.
According to the ISPR, like every citizen, the COAS and his family are answerable to the tax officials of the country for their assets.
