ABU DHABI: In Abu Dhabi, debris from a missile interception led to the deaths of two individuals, one of whom is a Pakistani citizen.
The Pakistani embassy has verified the passing of its national due to the falling debris, and has extended its condolences to the family. The embassy is actively working to arrange the rapid repatriation of the deceased’s remains back to Pakistan, offering support during this challenging period.
Earlier reports from Abu Dhabi officials indicated that the UAE’s air defense system successfully intercepted a ballistic missile. However, remnants of the missile descended in the Suyajan area, resulting in two fatalities and injuries to three others. Several vehicles were also damaged by the debris.
It is important to highlight that, so far, eight foreign nationals have lost their lives in the UAE due to Iranian missile strikes.
