Karachi: The arrested duo police personnel in the custodial murder of accused Moez in Darakhshan police station were presented before a Judicial Magistrate South on Sunday.
The accused Station House Officer (SHO) Ali Raza Leghari and head mahrrar (clerk) Mufasil Leghari were presented in the court over the conclusion of their physical remand.
The Investigation Officer (IO) of the case insisted extension in the physical remand of the accused police personnel.
The Special Duty Majistrate extended the physical remand of the accused for two more days.
The Majistrate ordered the police to present the accused duo in the court on the next hearing.
It is pertinent to mention here that a murder case has been registered against the station house officer (SHO) and head muharrir (clerk) of the Darakhshan police station over the custodial death of a suspect, Moiz allegedly involved in an extortion case.
The custodial death case was registered on behalf of the state under the sections of murder and illegal confinement against SHO Ali Raza Leghari and Head Muharrir Mufassil Ahmed Leghari.
The suspect Moiz Naseem had been arrested in an extortion case by the Darakhshan police on April 14.
