Islamabad: The third wave of coronavirus continue to playing havoc in the country as it claimed lives of more 70 people and 4, 825 new cases reported across the country in the last 24 hours.
According to National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), as many as 50, 161 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours out of which 4,825 found positive while 70 more lost their lives battling the virus after which death toll reached 17,187 while number of total positive person reached 8,00,452.

The NCOC added that rate of positive cases remained 9.61 percent while 570 people are on ventilators across the country.
As per the NCOC, the most of deaths due to the virus happened in Punjab where 7,990 people lost their lives, 4, 599 in Sindh, 3, 134 in KP, Islamabad 665, Gilgit and Baltistan 105, 232 in Balochistan and 462 in AJK.
Punjab is also on the top regarding highest number of cases as it reported 2,90,788, 2,78545 in Sindh, 1,14,0 77 in KP, 21,743 in Balochistan, 16, 591 in AJK, Gilgit Baltistan 5, 258, 73, 450 in Islamabad.
According to the NCOC statistics 4, 234 patients recovered from the virus in the last 24 hours after which total number of recovered patients are 6, 94,034.
