New York (May 16, 2017): Morgan Stanley Capital International has upgraded the status of Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) from Frontier Market to Emerging Market.

According to a notification issued by Morgan Stanley, the MSCI Pakistan Indexes will fully converge with the MSCI Provisional Pakistan Indexes, effective June 1, 2017.
Pakistan has achieved the status after a gap of nine years.
The upgradation will open the doors of Pakistan Stock Exchange to international investors.
