Motorway police makes tying up of seat belt mandatory during travelling on motorway

Islamabad: The Motorway Police have taken a good step regarding safety of the passengers during travelling on motorways of the country as it made tying up of a seat belt while commuting mandatory.

The spokesman of Motorway police while giving awareness to the people regarding the purpose of the rule says the aim is to safe your life and lives of others as ” Tie up a seat belt ensure safety of yourself and others.”.

The spokesman said that a bus driver and staff ensure a use of seat belt during a commute.

The spokesman apprised ” A seat belt lowers the risk in case of a severe push or overturning of a vehicle.”

The spokesman added that a fine is to be imposed in a case of not tying up of a seat belt.

He furthered that if a passenger vehicle lacks the seat belt for passengers then the vehicle will not be allowed to enter a motorway.

“Fulfill your legal and moral responsibility for a safe journey.” the spokesman said.
