GILGIT: Mountaineer Murad Sadpara is currently in a critical condition following an accident at Broad Peak.
The accident, which took place at Camp 1 on the evening of August 10, left Sadpara with a serious head injury after he slid while descending the peak.
In response, a Pakistan Army helicopter has transported two experienced porters to Broad Peak to assist in the search and rescue mission.
These skilled porters, with the full support of the Pakistan Army, will explore the area in a bid to locate and rescue Sadpara.

The Pakistan Army has assured that it will continue all possible efforts to bring Murad Sadpara to safety.
Known as a hero in the mountaineering community, Sadpara has saved numerous lives in the mountains, including recently playing a pivotal role in the recovery of Hasan Shagri’s body from K2.
At the time of the accident, Murad Sadpara was accompanied by a Portuguese woman and a Nepali Sherpa, both of whom are reported to be safe.
The rescue operation remains ongoing as concerns grow for Sadpara’s condition.
