WASHINGTON: United States(US) State Department spokesman, Mark Toner condemned attack on media houses in Pakistan and said that Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) misused freedom of expression.
While addressing a press conference, Toner said that they were in contact with Pakistani government and seeking more details. He said they were hopeful that Pakistani government will show responsibility in terms of protecting its citizens.
Toner said that US is in favour of direct dialogues between Pakistan and India. He said Pakistan and India should hold dialogues to resolve issues. He said restoration of bilateral relations between Pakistan and India, vital for regional stability.
