Islamabad: A delegation of the Muttahida Quami Movement Pakistan (MQM-P) was given a detailed briefing on on-going reforms in the power sector today.
The MQM-P delegation on Monday called on Federal Minister for Power Sardar Owais Ahmed Khan Leghari.
The Federal Minister apprised the MQM-P delegation that the federal government is working on problems of electricity on an emergency basis.
The Minister said that to bring the cost of electricity cheaper the expensive plants will be retired.
He also apprised that the imported coal plants will be shifted to local coal.
