MQM-P demands timely elections after delimitation under new census

Karachi: Muttahida Quami Movement Pakistan (MQMP) Senior Deputy Convener Syed Mustafa Kamal has demanded timely elections.

Former mayor of Karachi holding presser along with other members of the MQM-P coordination committee reiterating his earlier demands said that elections should be held under the new delimitations on new census.

Mustafa Kamal once again repeated his allegations that we have evidence that in the most of the areas of Karachi census were not held.

The people who are demanding elections without delimitations should be embarrassed on their statements, he said.

If the caretaker Sindh government took such decision which will harm democracy then we will condemn it, he added.

He said that we request the interim Chief Minister Maqbool Baqir to take such decision which will ensure transparent elections.

Syed Mustafa Kamal demanded the interim Sindh government to change provincial election commissioner Chohan.

He said that Chohan is the member of the previous government adding the if someone should be change then it was provincial election commissioner Chohan.

He emphasized that the provincial election commissioner should be changed.

Reminding past, former mayor Karachi said that with malfunctioning of RTS in last general elections in 2018 a fake elections were conducted.

He said that we have a demand that elections be held after delimitations under the new census adding if someone has to held responsible for delaying election then it is provincial interim government responsible for it.

It was astonishing that the most biggest city of the country lacks caps of gutter, he furthered.

He said that on one side the news was airing that India has reached to the moon whereas another news was airing that a child died after falling into a gutter in Karachi.
