MQM-P, GDA Delegations Meet PM Imran Khan  

Karachi (September 16, 2018): Prime Minister Imran Khan on Sunday held separate meetings with the delegations of Muttehada Qaumi Movement – Pakistan (MQM-P) and the Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA) during his visit to Karachi.  

The MQM-P delegation, led by Maqbool Siddiqui, handed over a list of its missing activists to the prime minister. Establishment of a university in Hyderabad, water crises, law and order situation and other issues were came under discussion in the meeting, said sources.

The delegation, comprised of Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Aamir Khan, Kanwar Naveed, Nasreen Jalil, Farogh Nasim, Faisal Sabzwari and Mayor Karachi Waseem Akhtar.

Talking to journalists after the meeting, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui said the MQM-P leadership discussed a range of issues pertaining to Karachi and Sindh with the prime minister.“Karachi needs $500 billion. This city should get the package it deserves. The cities of Sindh are being neglected for the past 70 years. We have presented Karachi’s case to the prime minister,” said the MQM-P leader.

Imran Khan, expressing his satisfaction over the law and order situation in Karachi, said that it was the foremost duty of the government to improve the security of citizens. Whereas, the GDA delegation, led by Pir Sadruddin Shah Rashdi, discussed national and Sind’s political situation with the PM.
