Karachi: Mohajir culture day is being celebrated all over the country while various ceremonies, literary gatherings are being held in Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur, Mirpur Khas, Islamabad, Lahore, Peshawar and Quetta including other cities.
The central ceremony of Mohajir culture day will be held at the Governor House Karachi.
On the occasion, Governor Kamran Tessori said that Mohajir will celebrate their culture day with pomp and show.
The Muttahida Quami Movement Pakistan (MQM-P) has set up welcoming camps all around the cities of Sindh.
Pakistani flags are being hoisted while the national anthem and party songs are played on these camps. Besides men, women are also excited.
The people say that this day remind us our forefathers sacrifices rendered for creation of the country.
They added that this day also provide us an opportunity to be proud on our culture .
Moreover, the aim of celebrating this day is to highlight and portrayal of our identity, language and traditions.
Congregations, rallies are also being held while cake cutting ceremonies are also being held.
