Karachi: Mutahida Quaumi Movement Pakistan (MQM-P) convener Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddique categorically has said that we will not accept population of Karachi less than 30 million.
Addressing a presser along with members of coordination committee which included Dr Farooq Sattar, Syed Mustafa Kamal and many others, the MQM-convener said that the census changed on a political pressuer can create a tragedy.
The MQM-P convener said that in the next few days the existing assemblies will complete its constitutional period of five years adding that fulfillment of tenure is a good gesture.

Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddique said that again and again census of Karachi was attacked and cheating with it conducted.
He said that the MQM-P is raising the matter of Karachi census contineously at all forums adding that people have been shown without counting them.
He candidly said that we will not recognize Karachi population less than 30 million. While he said “people of Karachi are the people who give taxes.”
The MQM-P convener said that on taxes of Karachi Islamabad has been functional adding that the deficit of 10. 5 million is the national deficit.
He urged the government and establishment that don’t change our objection into protest. He said that the census which was changed on political pressure can invite a mayhem.
Khalid Maqbool Siddique demanded that the result of census must surface as early as possible and on basis of the census new voter lists must be made.
The MQM-P convener said that this a census and planning can’t carry out sitting on the table.
