Lahore: Mass Transit Authority of Punjab has forwarded a summary bases on a suggestion to Chief Minister Punjab Pervez Elahi to raise fares of metro bus and Orange-line train.
The fare of metrobus for 4 Km is suggested Rs 20. While a suggestion has also been given for the orange line train to fix fares at Rs 60 from Ali Town to Dera Gujran.
Sources said that as per the suggestion stop to stop fares of the orange line train to be fixed at Rs 20 to Rs 25.
It is pertinent to mention that the metro line whole route fares is set at Rs 40 from its start.
The final approval of the summary be given in the cabinet meeting while an uptick in fares of the orange line train suggested owing increasing expenditure of the train.
