Multan: 8 Injured in 2 Separate Smog-Related Accidents

Multan (November 9, 2017): Eight people were injured in two different smog-related accidents here earlier today.

Two persons were injured in a clash between a car and a motorcycle near BZU Chowk here.

Six people were injured in another fog related traffic accident that involved a tractor trolley, truck, and a van.

Meanwhile, dense fog continues blanket Multan and surrounding areas and according to Meteorological Department the visibility dipped down to just 30 meters at some places.

The dense fog that has drastically cut down the visibility has not affected the traffic but has also effected the flight schedules with many flights being delayed.

According to Met Department Multan will remain in the grips of fog with dry weather persisting and maximum temperature forecast of 23 degree centigrade and minimum temperature of 14 degree centigrade with 100 percent precipitation.

Meanwhile, various sections of the Motorway have been closed for traffic due to dense fog.

According to Motorway police, M-I from Peshawar to Islamabad, M-2 from Islamabad to Lahore and M-3 from Faisalabad to Gojra remain closed.

The road users have been advised to contact Helpline 130 and control room number 5494126 to avoid any inconvenience.
