Multan Sultans get first victory in PSL-10 as it beat Lahore by 33 runs

Multan : Multan Sultans defeated Lahore Qalandars by 33 runs to get first victory in the PSL-10.

Chasing a daunting total of 229 runs, Lahore Qalandars could score 195 runs in the allotted 20 overs.

Sikandar Raza was the highest scorer from Lahore who scored 50 runs unbeaten followed by Sam Billings 43 runs and Fakhar Zaman 32 runs.

On the other hand, Multan Sultans Ubaid Shah picked three wickets whereas Usama Mir and Michael Bracewell begged two wickets each.

David Willey, Josh Little got one wicket each.

Earlier, young player Yasir Khan aggressive 87 runs helped Multan Sultans to give remarkable target of 229 runs to Lahore Qalandars.

Multan Sultans scored 228 runs in the allotted over after losing five wickets.

Whereas Yasir Khan from start played aggressive innings as he hit six fours and six sixes in his 87 runs.

He completed his half century off 28 balls with five fours and three sixes.

Skipper Rizwan and Yasir Khan in first wicket partnership made 89 runs.

Rizwan lost his wicket on 32 runs after which Yasir and Usman Khan added 70 runs in second wicket partnership when Usman Khan caught by Asif Afridi on bowling of Rishad Hossain after scoring 39 runs off 24 balls.

Later Yasir Khan remained unfortunate as Abdullah Shafique caught him on a delivery of Sikandar Raza on a score of 87 runs.

In last, Iftakhar Ahmed remained unbeaten knocked 40 runs just on 18 balls with three sixes and three fours.

From Lahore Qalandars Rishad Hossain picked two wickets while Sikandar Raza, captain Shaheen Shah Afridi and Asif Afridi begged one wicket each.

Multan Sultans have won the toss and decided to bat first.
