Multan Sultans to 20 run victory against Karachi

KARACHI: In Pakistan Super league (PSL)  Multan Sultans defeated Karachi, Multan Sultans become first team to reach playoffs

Chasing the target of 190 runs by Multan Sultans, the Karachi Kings team managed to score 169 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the allotted 20 overs.

Usman Khan’s unbeaten and scintillating 59-ball 106 and Usama Mir’s (2-29) bowling brilliance powered the Multan Sultans to 20-run victory against the Karachi Kings in the 19th match of the ninth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) in Karachi on Sunday.

Usman Khan’s unbeaten and belligerent ton powered the Multan Sultans to 189-3 against the Karachi Kings.

Opting to bat first, the Sultans lost Reeza Hendricks earlier on 8-ball 13, when Zimbabwean Blessing Muzarabani removed the former.

But momentum was back with the Sultans, when captain Mohammad Rizwan stitched a belligerent 93-ball 148 along with Usman Khan.

The partnership was broken by Muzarabani, who got rid of Rizwan on 44-ball 58. Rizwan had clobbered five boundaries during his brilliant knock.

This is the third highest partnership for the Sultans against any opposition in the PSL.
