Lahore (October 15, 2018): A special anti-terrorism court has issued black warrants for Imran, convicted for the rape and murder of seven-year-old Zainab. 

Imran, who was awarded 21 death sentences in the case, will be executed on October 17.

Earlier on August 04, Zainab’s father demanded the quick execution of Zainab’s rapist and murderer Imran Ali on the launching ceremony of Asif Nazeer’s book launching ceremony “Zainab Dekh Rahi Hai” at Islamabad Press Club.PTI’s winning MNA Asad Umer said that to protect children is the biggest responsibility of any society.

Unfortunate incidents take place but we should learn from them and such issues should not be used to politicize.

Earlier on June 22, the Supreme Court Lahore Registry dismissed the appeal of convicted Imran Ali.

A three-judge bench, comprising Justices Asif Saeed Khosa, Manzoor Ahmed Malik, and Mansoor Ali Shah, rejected the convict’s appeal and upheld the death penalty handed to him by an anti-terrorism court (ATC).

Earlier on February 17, the anti-terrorism court (ATC) hearing the high-profile case sentenced Imran to death four times.Appealing against the ATC verdict, Imran claimed innocence before the Lahore High Court and pleaded for the verdict to be declared null and void.

Earlier on March 20, the Lahore High Court rejected a plea from convict Imran Ali against his death penalty from ATC in Zainab murder case and remarked that the DNA had matched with the accused and had proved that he is the real culprit.

The court rejected his plea and said that they would not give next date for the hearing. “When courts are giving timely decisions what is the issue with that,” he remarked.

The father of Zainab Haji Ameen was also present during the proceedings. Meanwhile, the father of Zainab was also provided with the security after the apex courts orders. An elite force squad has been deputed for his security.Zainab’s Father Files Plea in SC To Seek SecurityIt may be recalled that seven-year-old Zainab was kidnapped from near her aunt’s house in Kasur on January 4 and was found dead in a garbage heap five days later.

On January 23, the authorities claimed to have nabbed her killer, Imran, through a DNA match.
