Murree Receives 4-inch Snowfall in last 24 hours

Islamabad (December 12, 2017): Muree and its suburbs have been receiving snowfall intermittently since last night. Four inches of snow has been recorded so far in the area and it is expected that cold winds will continue to blow in the coming week.

Neelum Valley, Nikyaal and close by areas have been continuously receiving rain and slight snowfall. While Nanga Parbat, Batuga and Babusar Pass are also receiving rain and snowfall.

Weather forecasts have predicted more rain and snowfall in KPK, FATA, Upper plains of Punjab, Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan, and Islamabad.

Heavy snowfall in Shardah Kel Taobat has shut down the road track leading to it. While electricity in Nakyal and suburbs is disrupted due to heavy rainfall.

According to Met office, rain is also expected in Lahore, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala and Sargodha divisions. Karachi is expected to receive cold winds for the week up till Saturday.
