Lahore: The investigation committee constituted for the Murree Tragedy has prepared its initial report.
The investigation committee after giving the report a face of draft has left for Lahore wherein it will submit the report to Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar on Monday (tomorrow).
The committee reviewed the statement of the people and government officers who remained alive in the tragedy while as many as more than 30 officers statements belonging to administrative departments were recorded.
It is revealed in report that the tourists declared the night of January 7 to 8 as horrific experience.
As per the report, the Murree tragedy occurred owing to negligence of Assistance Commissioner Murree, Chief Traffic Officer and officers of rescue because the roads leading up to Murree had to be closed after three days.
The report apprised that the machine for removal of snow was standing at a position and staff was missing while the prediction of the meteorological department were also neglected.
