ISLAMABAD: Capital city police have registered cases against the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Mustafa Nawaz Khokar and other for manhandling officials outside National Accountability Bureau (NAB) office here on Thursday.
As per details, Senator Mustafa Nawaz Khokar, Raja Shakeel Abbasi and 70 others are nominated in the case registered by Islamabad police.
According to the FIR, the PPP workers tried to breach the security of the NAB building by removing the barriers despite being told by the deputy commissioner about the imposition of section 144 in the federal capital territory of Islamabad.
The FIR also contained sections for injuring police personnel by the PPP workers and hurling derogatory remarks against the accountability watchdog officials while trying to enter the NAB premises before the arrival of their leaders.
Sources have claimed that the PPP leader might be arrested soon by the capital police.
It is pertinent to mention here that Mustafa Nawaz Khokar manhandled police officials a day earlier before the appearance of his party chairman and co-chairman in the NAB office.
